THE SOCIAL LIFE OF THE CLUB

Although it is our common interest in swimming which brings us together, the Club is involved in more than just swimming. We have a healthy social life within the Club with events organised by our Social Committee either to raise funds, or simply to have some fun.

We believe that it is important for Club members to meet and for there to be interaction outside the swimming pool environment. The range of activities involved in is extensive and during the year there are discos and bar-b-Qs organised together with trips to the pantomime at the beginning of the year for the younger swimmers and a trip to either the ice rink at Swindon or Splashdown at Poole (or something similar) for the older ones.

The Annual General Meeting, held in November at Trowbridge Rugby Club, is a perfect opportunity for a social gathering, and the disco always goes down well following the presentation of cups for those successful in the Club Championships.
