Changes in Coaching Staff

As you may already be aware, Paul Leather is stepping down as head coach and will no longer be coaching at the club as of September.

Paul has been coaching for TASC since 1998 and has decided that he needs a break from swimming. In that time he has helped enormously in raising the profile of the club and the ability of the swimmers.

His last training session will be at Trowbridge pool on Tuesday 5th September. Swimmers can say goodbye to him then (and maybe get him a little wet!). He will also come along to the AGM and Disco on Friday 3rd November and he will still support social events etc.

As a result of Paul’s decision, we have been in discussion with Steve Fivash. Steve has previously been coach at Melksham and Bath University and has undertaken extensive further education in coaching skills. Steve is a well-known and respected coach and it is with great pleasure to inform you that he has agreed to come and join TASC from mid-August, to pick up from Paul. We would then hope to officially appoint Steve as Head Coach at the 3rd November AGM.

Steve said that he is honoured to be asked to coach at Trowbridge and is very enthusiastic about the future. I am sure you will give Steve the help and support needed and that you will welcome him into our club.
